Me and Mine in February, with Peachie Pie Designs

It has been an absolute age since I’ve done a me and mine post. Life has been so busy, crazily so, that I haven’t had the time to sit and reflect on life.

Terrible really, as it is so important to make the time to look at what is going on around you, isn’t it?

The last update I did was in October actually, almost 6 months ago – how terrible is that?

Let me see if I can update you a little…

September and October were busy and having Mr F in the hospital made me reflect on a lot of things. I decided that I only wanted to write for writing sake and that left me with not very much to say.

So, over the last few months, I have been focusing on getting to know myself again, finding out who I am as a woman and what makes me happy.

So as a family we have done more things together, more snuggles on the sofa, more trips to local National Trust places and just more of the things that make us happy (which is pretty much everything as long as we are together).

We have also made time for us all as individuals, to make sure that we are looking after our own needs as well as the needs of the group.

Happy you, happy family

The girls have taken up about a million clubs; ballet, street dance, modern dance, football, French and drama. Honestly, I don’t know whether I am coming or going most of the time!

Wills is about to start football on a Saturday and I have been taking him to a baby group on a Tuesday so he can interact with others his age.

Mr F has been playing more football and going to the gym and I have also taken up a few classes. I do aerobics on a Monday and circuit training on a Wednesday. But, the most exciting class has got to be contemporary dance – something I have longed to do my whole life.

All of these clubs and classes mean we are like ships in the night at times, but it has meant our time together is even more precious and we have so much more to talk about.

My photos this month are different as they are actually amazing drawings from the fantastic Peachie Pie Design.

Aren’t they brilliant? She drew my sister a pet portrait for Christmas and I noticed her family portraits. It took me ages to get around to ordering but my goodness I am so glad I did!

It is such a lovely thing to have and it sits pride of place in my living room – I just adore it! I might have to get another one of just the kids- that would be super cute!

That is for us as a family I think, we are happier than we have been in a long time.
