Ah Christmas, such a magical time of year for little ones, isn’t it?
I have decided that this year, I am going to focus on the less is more approach for mine, so they appreciate everything they are given. I am also going to give their wish list to other members of the family so that they get what they want, without me having to buy it all.
There are so many lovely things around at the moment, I thought I would share a few things that would make any child’s Christmas day.
Great gift ideas for the kids this Christmas
Yellow wellies should be a must for children. I don’t think there is anything cuter, do you? These from Jo Jo Maman Bebe are definitely on the list!
I always like to get the children a new book at Christmas time and Here We Are by Oliver Jeffers is so lovely. It is written from a parent to a child, telling them everything wonderful about the world.
My girls are obsessed with Transformers and so these pocket-sized 1-step Turbo changers from Hasbro are the perfect stocking filler.
Have you heard of azoomee?
azoomee is an app for children, which creates a safe world for them to watch tv programs such as Charlie & Lola, play games such as dress up a Lottie doll and also listen to stories. You can get 50% off a monthly subscription for 12 months by using the code FAMILY – so go sign up now!
Sticking with technology, the Kurio Watch 2.0 is such a great gift for an older child. It comes with 2 straps, can have various screen wallpapers and comes with so many added extras to keep them entertained.
I like to get presents that offer an experience or learning element and this sewing machine from The Great British Sewing Bee is such a sweet idea for any child wanting to take up a new hobby.
This has been on Gracie’s list since last Christmas and would make a lot of children happy to find their own Showtime Stage Microphone from Buydirect4u. If you have a child who loves to sing then get them the gift of their own karaoke system.
If your children love to draw and craft as much as mine then the Be U Jewellery Bead Tree Set and Ultimate Colouring Folder Set from Chad Valley are perfect gift ideas.
The girls have asked Santa for “a real cat and a real dog, or toy ones if real isn’t ok”. I am thinking he may choose something from the Fur Real range to cover all bases.
If you haven’t seen the new Tots Town range from Chad Valley then you should go take a look. They are sturdy, colourful and engaging for little ones.
Wills is going to go mad when he sees this on Christmas morning. If you have a vehicle mad toddler then a Build-A-Johnny Tractor would be the ideal gift!
If your kids are constantly wanting to play on your phone, then the Vtech Kidicom Max is the perfect gift. It has apps, games and can even be loaded with ebooks. Kids can message friends, take photos and do everything they love to do on your phone!
How about something a little different? Why not give a little elephant from the WWF to show support for the #JustLikeUs campaign.
Now this last one is something that we reviewed recently and was an early Christmas present to all three of mine. If you are looking for something that will last for years and bring so much joy and enjoyment then a teepee from Plum Play should definitely be on your list.
I hope this has been useful, if you have any other ideas then do let me know in the comments!
I was gifted some of the items in this guide but I only ever show products that I love and words and thoughts are always my own.
