Autumn walks as the sun is setting are my favourite thing. In fact autumn as a whole is my favourite time of year with the oranges and browns of the leaves and the smell of bonfires wafting through the air.
Autumn to me, means family time.
Not that we don’t spend plenty of time together throughout the year, but autumn brings snuggles on the sofa and cosy evenings with candles burning all around us. I cannot wait for the nights to draw in so that we can close the curtains, shut away the world and enjoy each others company.
Last night we braved the winds and dark clouds to head off into the countryside that is literally on our doorstep. The sun was shining and it wasn’t at all cold, so we pulled on our boots and set off to find conkers and acorns!
These two are obsessed with this tree.
They call it our family tree, after one time we all held hands to see if we could fit around. Now every time we walk past we have to do the same.
I sat them on the hill to take a few shots, not realising that moments later the heavens would open!
Like a lunatic, I kept taking photos though!
Sunshine and rain make….
She was so disappointed not to be able to touch it. But actually, I did manage to get a shot (albeit blurry) of her standing inside the rainbow. I will have to show her tomorrow!
Another month of siblings photos taken – I can’t believe the year is nearly up! This time last year was their first ever photo as a three…
Hasn’t the time flown?
