Happy Days: Autumn walks, meal planning and catch-ups

Welcome to HappyDays! The idea of this linky is to inspire others to make the best out of every day, to see the happy in the little things. As no matter what, there is always something good in every single day- we just need to take the time to see it. Share your happy posts, Sian and I love to read them!

I cannot put my finger on it (it’s probably hormones) but I am feeling really rubbish as I am writing this. I am so behind on so many things – not least of all with planning Gracie’s birthday party. I just can’t seem to find the focus to carry on with my blog anymore, or anything that goes along with it and it has just been one of those days.

Such a shame as I have had such a positive week but you know what it’s like – one bad moment and you feel like the whole week is lost.

So what did make me happy this week?

– Autumn walk. Mr F was feeling active and decided we needed to go on a walk after dinner on Wednesday. The sun was setting and the girls were running around free as birds. All was well until the heavens opened haha!

– Dinner. I have been meal planning for the last few weeks and it has meant no more panic ordering of takeaway and no spag bol 5 days of the week!

– Catch-ups. I caught up with 2 friends this week – one of which being Sian. I collared her after the school run and we went to have a catch-up in a cafe. So nice being able to chat in person rather than on FB messenger.

– Autumn decor. I drove almost an hour to go to our local HomeSense store as I’d heard they had some great autumn bits and bobs in. I was not disappointed – there was so much to choose from and I got some great bits!

That is all for this week. Have a great weekend!

EDIT: Sian and I have decided to stop Happy Days as we need to focus on ourselves and our families, which means cutting back on our blogs. We will still be around though so do pop back to see what we are up to. It has meant so much to have your support over the last few years, it has been a wonderful community. Thank you for being a part of it. xx

  1. I do love autumn, it is my favourite time of the year. The cool, crisp mornings, the colours and bright sunshine. We eat so late when I’m at work and hubby coaching, but we do try to meal plan. Don’t give up hon. Here if I can help xx

  2. Sorry you’ve been having a hard time of it with your blog, I’ve been feeling exactly the same this past week or so and am so far behind. I can totally understand wanting to stop the linky so you can spend more time with family. I just want to say a huge thank you as yours was the first I joined when I first started blogging and everyone was so lovely it really encouraged me to keep going. I’ll still be popping by from time to time and I’ll see you in the decluttering Facebook group 😘
