Luxury Bedding From Amara

I am addicted to new bedding. There, I said it. I think if I could just buy new bedding every time I changed the beds I would be in heaven – there’s nothing better than fresh sheets is there? The last time I bought any bedding was for winter, to make the room more cosy and snug. With this gorgeous weather we are having it doesn’t seem right to be sleeping in a cosy room, I want it to feel light and airy.

Last year I added a splash of colour to our bedroom after years of magnolia, something I wish I had done sooner as I love it. The thing is with colour though, is it can restrict the other colours you can add in terms of accessories. Ever since the makeover I have kept to neutrals and blues, not that I mind as I love whites and creams as they are calming aren’t they?

I wanted to add a new accent colour for spring, something to compliment the blue and add a fresh look to the room. I also wanted to add a bit of a luxury feel to the room too – we spend hours and hours in bed so we might as well make it a space to feel good in!

I have been a fan of Amara for a few years now and they make the most gorgeous bedding sets. I wanted to stick to my neutral base but saw this gorgeous 100% cotton duvet cover with a San Sebastian palm tree print and it jumped right out at me.

I also chose a couple of bed cushions, one in a pink and another in a silver. I do love a bed cushion don’t you? It has just given a little lift to the room, especially with the pink, it just gives a little nod towards spring. All I have to do now is find some new bedside cabinets, not sure what I am after but that will be the finishing touch!

Do you like to update your bedding for the seasons?
