Fun At The Farm With Next

Last week we went away for a few days as the girls were on half term and Mr F had the week off. It was so nice to get away from the normal daily routine and spend some time with friends. On our way back from Devon we took a detour to Surrey, where we’d been invited to a day out at a farm with the lovely people at Next. We got up super early and made our way to the farm to meet the other bloggers there and see what animals we could find!

Don’t you just love their outfits? I think my favourite thing are Lil’s socks – just adorable!! Everything we wore that day is from their new spring and summer kids range. I am going to do a separate post on my outfit although you’ve already had a sneak peek at my jumper in my spring summer wardrobe update.

We were very lucky in the morning as the sun shone for us, so we were able to go on a tractor ride and say hello to some of the animals.

Lils was a little unsure at first as it was pretty bumpy bless her but she was soon joining in, pointing to the animals. We saw some fluffy pigs – who even knew there was such a thing?!

Wills was looking dapper in his little outfit and was so good the whole day, I do worry about taking all three of them out on my own but he was fine and slept a big chunk of the day thank goodness.

Unfortunately by the afternoon the rain set in and we had to move indoors. Thankfully they had plenty of activities on and the girls had fun riding on toy tractors and getting their faces painted – don’t they look cute?!

Just before it was time to go home the girls asked if they could pop on their wellies and go out into the rain. I am not one to hide from the weather so out they went, splish sploshing in the puddles.

I think this is one of my favourite ever photos, I love how the rain is captured and the sun is shining behind her hair. It was a lovely end to a fun day!

I vlogged the day if you fancy a little look at everything we got up to…

A big thank you to Next for inviting us, we had a lovely day!

  1. I’ve got these exact outfits for my girls, I can’t wait for them to wear them. You are right those socks are the cutest ever! I am going to have to buy the shoes to match I think. Looks like you all had a lovely time and I love the girls splashing at the end x

Oh you definitely need the shoes too! We had the same pumps last year but in different colours and they lasted them until they grew out of them. x

  2. Lovely photos. Girls outfits from Next always seem really nice. I’ve just been in this week to look for N, and there’s nothing in the shops I would buy for him. Now he’s into age 6 it seems that everything in shops are aimed at cool teen style rather than bright little boys wear. There’s was plenty in the up to age 5 I’d have bought had it come up larger. Very annoying.

My friend has a 6 year old and she said the same about boys clothes the other week. Thankfully I won’t have to deal with that for a few more years!
