The school run is a faff isn’t it? You spend all that time getting out of the house just to have to come straight home again. I joke to the other mums that they should install a café at the school just so we can make more of the trip out!
With three children to get up, dressed and out of the house, I need to make my life as easy as possible. One of the most frustrating things I have found with having a baby to take out on the school run is getting the snowsuit on and off. The fact that you can’t put a coat on a child in their car seat means you have to put it on and take it off far too many times for my liking. Throw in some rain and it just takes far too long and causes far too much distress to the baby.
This is where Nod Pod comes in!
The Nod Pod is essentially a blanket but the genius part is that it has legs! This means baby can wear it in a car seat, a carrier or pushchair – allowing you to strap them in and keep them warm. Everyone has commented on how brilliant it is as they have all been there, struggling with coats or bulky blankets when you really don’t need the hassle.
The other genius thing is the fact that when baby falls asleep you are able to lift them out from their car seat or pram without waking them. If you imagine a stork carrying a baby in a hankie – that is how you can transfer them and they just don’t wake up at all! Just brilliant!!
The Nod Pod comes in lots of different designs and three sizes (0-6 moths , 6-12 months and 1-2 years). I am a little obsessed with stripes to went for the Breton and due to the fact that Wills is growing quicker than a bamboo plant I went for the 6-12 months sizing so it will last him all the way through the winter months. It is so soft and snuggly but also lightweight enough that it can be used in a carseat or baby carrier and they won’t overheat.
You know sometimes you have a problem and you wish someone would think of a way to solve it? The Nod Pod is one of those products and I absolutely love it!! I am going to have to get the next size up ready for next winter too!
We were sent the Nod Pod in return for our honest opinion and well, you can see I love it!!
