On Saturday we took the girls for a special treat, to a Tree Fu Tom Live show! I was a little nervous as to how they would cope, specifically Little L as she has never had to sit through anything for any length of time. We made sure we had plenty of raisins with us and set off for the 1pm showing.
The theatre provided booster seats for the kids so they were able to see the stage perfectly which was great. The show was prompt starting and as soon as the lights went down they were both mesmerised!
Every single child in the audience stared as Tom appeared on stage and with every new character there were gasps and smiles. The costumes were just like the tv show and the actors did a fantastic job with voices- even the Texan drawl of Ariela and the Scottish twang of Twigs.
The show takes you on a journey with Tom and his friends, with songs and dancing throughout. The whole performance was just under 90 minutes, with a 20 minute interval. It was just the right length as Little L started to get fidgety towards the end.
Something I was really impressed with was Tom himself, he had the moves down to a tee, even the exaggerated hand gestures as he talks. He had the children up on their feet, joining in to make big world magic.
Does your child love Tree Fu Tom too?
We were given tickets to go to our local show but all thoughts and words are my own.
