The Best Kitchen Gadget Ever!

I am not even joking, I am completely in love with a kitchen gadget! And to think a month ago I had no idea that it even existed!! So what is it? It is a gadget that will change the way you cook forever – the Tefal Cook4Me. It is a pressure cooker, or in other words a magical machine that produces delicious meals in minutes. Minutes!!!

Last month, I waddled my way along to an event in London. It was a chance to have a little play with the Cook4Me and honestly I didn’t have a clue what it was all about. I have had a slow cooker for years and I get how that works, but a pressure cooker? Nope, never had any experience with one and didn’t know how absolutely amazing they are. I feel silly that I haven’t had one sooner as it would have made life so much easier.

I am a busy mum of 2 and sometimes (or most of the time) I am exhausted by the end of the day. The thought of having to cook dinner often makes me wish I had a live-in chef, haha! My go to meal when I am not in the mood for slaving over the stove is pasta with tuna and cheese – that is our staple meal and thankfully the girls are happy with that.

Now as you know, I am due to have this baby any day now and life is going to get a whole lot busier- cooking is just going to be that extra thing to push me over the edge. Well, it would have been.. but no more! I am not going to pretend to fully understand how it all works, all I know is you put in the ingredients and within a few minutes you have a delicious meal on your plate. Today I even cooked a large chicken – a whole chicken – in 35 minutes!! Can you even imagine? It was so succulent and you would not know that it hadn’t been done in the oven at all. If anything it was tastier as it still had all of the juices. Yum!

The great thing about the Cook4Me in particular is the fact that it has in-built recipes, so if you are short on time then you choose whatever it is that takes your fancy and it takes you through it step by step. Something I have been making for lunch the last week or so has been risotto, so so easy and so delicious!

Putting in the ingredients

This is one of the pre-programmed recipes – Butternut Squash Risotto and the girls love it! The girls love the whole process actually, especially the fact that it has a countdown so they can see exactly how long it will be before it is ready.

It also lets you cook in manual mode, so you can search for recipes online or make up your own. I will probably share a few as and when I discover them over the next few months. It is going to be absolutely invaluable once baby is here, I won’t have to do much at all and yet we will be able to sit and enjoy a meal together.

It is just so easy, can you tell I love it?! Honestly, if you are short on time but still want to make delicious meals for your family then this is what you need in your life!
